Fundraising

Sea Otter Play offers participants the opportunity to give to non-profit organizations working on the front lines to provide essential community support during these challenging times. Through sports and recreation, we promote a healthy lifestyle for children and support our recovering veterans.

Our Mission is to inspire and empower the youth of Monterey County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive, and successful citizens.

Community Foundation for Monterey County Covid-19 Relief Fund

Established in March 2020, the fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations addressing the immediate and longer-term needs of Monterey County’s most vulnerable residents impacted by the Coronavirus. Donations to the fund support community need in human services, health, housing, and education.

California Mountain Biking Coalition

Our mission is to Improve and increase trail access for mountain biking throughout California by providing a unified statewide voice for organizations and individuals.

Monterey Off-Road Cycling Association

Sea Otter Play is bringing together our international Sea Otter event partners in Australia, Canada, and Europe. Each has chosen their own charity to support and 100% of donated funds (after will be distributed to the charities:

Sea Otter Canada – Cycling Canada

Cycling Canada is a National Sport Organization with one simple purpose: to inspire Canadians to cycle. No matter what gets you pedaling every day, we’re here to provide support and help you turn each ride into an inspiring moment. Whether you ride for pleasure, for sport, for transport, or for health, cycling is a journey that unites us.

Sea Otter Australia – Bikes Palya and The Sports Australia Foundation

There’s something awesome about the thrill and joy kids get riding bikes in the outback communities of Australia. Bikes Palya translates the excitement of cycling into learning opportunities for aboriginal youth through programs that reinforce values of pride and responsibility while creating a healthy pastime. In schools where attendance can be very low, Bikes Palya aims to drive attendance rates higher and to engage with typically hard to reach youth through the power of the bike. Better health, better learning, better life.

Sea Otter Europe – Guttmann Institute

Guttmann Institute is a specialized hospital in the medical-surgical treatment and the comprehensive rehabilitation of people (adults, youth, and children) with medular injury, brain damage acquired, or with a high disability of neurological origin. As a private foundation of social initiative, and non-profit, it also develops the research and contributes to the recognition of rights and the effective equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
