Canadian Gravel Grinder

The Sea Otter Canada experience winds through the hills, vistas, valleys and villages of the Blue Mountains region of Ontario. This adventure ride features approximately 37miles/60km of gravel and 25miles/40km of pavement along the route. From the top of Blue Mountain Resort, climb to the plateau atop the Niagara Escarpment before embarking on the rolling gravel roads toward the beautiful Beaver Valley. Along the way, riders can visit the quaint villages of Kimberley and Feversham, each with its own local charm. Looping back to the start, the final descent emphasizes the spectacular view over Georgian Bay before finishing at the Blue Mountain Village.

The Big Sur hosted by CLIF Bar

The Big Sur challenge is a classic California experience and one of the most iconic cycling routes in North America. This route starts in Monterey and takes riders south along historic US Highway 1 to San Simeon. This bucket list adventure allows you to travel through Big Sur, Ragged Point, and other must-see spots as you wind your way around the edge of the California coast. Be sure to take in the views and keep your eyes peeled for a sea otter sighting along the way!

Ciclobrava hosted by Continental

Nestled between the jagged peaks of Pyrenees Mountains and the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Girona has served as the training grounds for generations of professional cyclists. The Spanish Challenge takes riders through the picturesque hills, valleys and vineyards of the Catalonian countryside along a favorite training loop of WorldTour riders. This route starts and finishes at the Sea Otter Europe entrance on Avinguda Xavier Cugat.

Coast to Capitol 280

This down-under route is our second longest Challenge. This 174mile/280km road safari starts in the seaside town of Kiama. From Kiama Harbour, participants head to Jamberoo for the beautiful but steep climb up the Jamberoo Pass to Robertson in the Southern Highlands. The spectacular route then threads through the Highlands via Wildes Meadow, Werai, Exeter and Bundanoon, then to Bungonia, Tarago, Queanbeyan and into Canberra, finishing in the Sea Otter Festival Village at Stromlo Forest Park.

The Pacifico Challenge is Sea Otter Play’s ultimate Ride Challenge. This ultra-endurance route follows the scenic Pacific Coast Highway from Monterey, California to the Canadian border—and beyond! Travel virtually through iconic locations along the Highway 1 and Highway 101 including Point Loma, Coos Bay, Astoria and more. Unlike the other routes, The Pacifico is a total distance Challenge. How many miles can you log from September 1-September 16?

Bulls Tahoe Challenge ePowered by Bosch

If mountain biking with a bit of extra power is your thing, this is the challenge for you. Test yourself and your eMTB by riding the legendary trails surrounding Lake Tahoe. Even with additional pedal-powered assistance, this route, that includes the famous Hole-In-The-Ground trail, will push your limits with grinding, technical climbs and rowdy descents. Even though this is a challenge, do yourself a favor and take a second or two to take in the alpine views before shredding onward. E-bikes are strongly suggested (you might have a hard time keeping pace on a standard bike) but all are welcome to join in and give it their best attempt.
